Bring Spirit Back to Breath
It’s unfortunate that we have lost the ancient appreciation for breath. We have disconnected from the reality that breath is spirit, breath is life.
It’s been recognized since the beginning of time.
In Greek: pneuma = breath, pneuma = spirit.
In Latin: spiritus = breath, spiritus = life.
The same goes for Arabic, Hebrew, Sanskrit, and so many more ancient cultures! *thanks for support in the comments.
But somehow we’ve lost that connection.
Lucky for us, the simple act of awareness of this connection brings it right back as if we never lost it.
Feel it?!?
Notice the life that comes with each breath.
Notice the presence.
Notice the depth.
Notice the spirit.
Notice the joy.
Biochemically, breath is life - as we literally breathe into every cell. We breathe into every mitochondria.
Breath gives us energy. This energy that moves through our mind, body, soul is most fundamental transmutation of life.
So again, I invite a breath.
Deep into the lungs.
Deep into the heart.
Deep into the soul.
Don’t you feel the pneuma/spiritus?!
